Beating the Heat: EPCOT’s New Light Lounge Debuts
As Central Florida braces for a brutal weekend with heat indexes climbing over 100 degrees, Disney has quietly opened a much-needed sanctuary. The Light Lounge has officially debuted at The Odyssey in EPCOT. Typically a festival hub, the pavilion is now a dedicated air-conditioned hangout space through the end of the summer.
Open daily from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., the lounge features a refraction-inspired rainbow theme and plenty of seating. If you’re looking for a snack, the menu includes:
- Chicken Strips with French Fries ($10.99)
- Apple-Caramel Churro Bites with vanilla dipping sauce ($6.99)
- Caramel Popcorn Churro Bites ($6.49)
- Frozen Fruit Slush with a glow cube ($9.29)
For entertainment, variety performers Max & Aydar have moved their show indoors to the lounge, performing their comedy and juggling routines every half hour between 12 p.m. and 4 p.m. It’s a smart move for families looking to recharge without leaving the park.
