A New Season of Animation and Adventure
Hong Kong Disneyland is officially kicking off a massive summer celebration. From June 12 through August 31, 2026, the park is hosting its first-ever Pixar Summer Fest. This limited-time event transforms the entire resort into a vibrant tribute to beloved stories like Toy Story, Inside Out, and The Incredibles. If you are planning a visit this season, there is a lot to see, eat, and collect.
The Decor: Pixar Everywhere
The transformation begins before you even step through the turnstiles. The pathways leading from the resort hotels and the MTR station are lined with colorful character banners. Once you reach the Main Street Train Station, look closely at the floral Mickey display. For this event, the flowerbed has been redesigned into the shape of the iconic Pixar ball.
Inside Town Square, guests are greeted by a large-scale display featuring the Pixar ball alongside the famous Luxo Jr. lamp. Banners featuring iconic character faces line Main Street, U.S.A., leading guests toward the Castle of Magical Dreams. It is a subtle yet effective overlay that sets the mood for the entire park experience.
Limited-Edition Pixar Eats
Theme park food is a huge part of any seasonal event, and the Pixar Summer Fest does not disappoint. The park has introduced several themed snacks that are as photogenic as they are tasty. Here are a few highlights to look for:
- Anger Hot Dog: A spicy bacon and cheese dog perfect for those feeling a little fiery ($75 HKD).
- Mei’s “Sometimes I’m a Red Panda” Corn Dog: A Turning Red inspired snack ($75 HKD).
- Inside Out Donuts: Colorful treats themed after the emotions from the films.
- Pixar Popcorn: New flavors like Joy Honey Mustard have debuted at the outdoor vending carts ($48 HKD).
- Up Egg Puffs: A local favorite with a Carl Fredricksen twist ($75 HKD).
Must-Have Merchandise and Toy Story 5 Teasers
Collectors should head straight to the Emporium. The shop windows are currently showcasing a mix of classic Pixar gear and brand-new items for the highly anticipated Toy Story 5, which hits theaters June 19, 2026. You will find everything from character keychains to western-style tees featuring Woody and Buzz.
One of the biggest draws this summer is the release of two high-demand popcorn buckets. Both the Bullseye Popcorn Bucket and the light-up Lightning McQueen Bucket are now available at Hong Kong Disneyland. These were recently announced for U.S. parks, but international guests are getting the first crack at them during the fest.
New Entertainment Offerings
Beyond the food and decor, two new parades and a nighttime pre-show have debuted. The Pixar Water Play Street Party! is a daytime parade designed to help guests cool off with plenty of splash zones. For the evening, keep an eye out for the Pixar Pals Spectacular. This eight-minute tribute to friendship features drones, projections, and characters from the entire Pixar catalog, including new faces from the upcoming Toy Story 5. It runs nightly right before the park’s main nighttime show, Momentous.
