Disney Fans in Asia, Your Time Has Arrived
Disney fans across the globe are buzzing today after a massive announcement from the Official Disney Fan Club. D23 has officially set its sights on Singapore for a brand new international event. Titled D23 Asia: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, this multi-day extravaganza is slated to take place in 2027. This marks a historic first for the region, as it is the first time an event of this scale has been hosted in Southeast Asia.
A Milestone for Southeast Asia
While Disney has hosted D23 events in Japan in the past (specifically in 2013, 2015, and 2018) and most recently in Brazil, the choice of Singapore reflects a growing focus on the Asia Pacific market. Carol Choi, Executive Vice President for Disney Asia Pacific, noted that bringing D23 to Singapore is a natural evolution for the brand. The city has already become a major hub for the company, especially with the recent homeporting of the Disney Adventure cruise ship at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre.
