Amorette’s Patisserie Scales Back Iconic Cake Decorating Classes at Disney Springs

Planning a Mid-Week Visit? You Might Need to Rethink Your Cake Goals

If you’ve ever walked through Disney Springs and caught the sweet scent of almond and chocolate wafting from the Town Center area, you’ve likely found yourself staring into the windows of Amorette’s Patisserie. Known for their high-end pastries and those incredible dome cakes that look almost too good to eat, this spot has long been a favorite for foodies. However, a major update just hit the schedule that might change how you plan your next vacation.

Amorette’s Patisserie has officially shifted its popular cake-decorating classes to a weekends-only schedule. While these interactive experiences were previously offered seven days a week, the bakery recently updated the official Walt Disney World website to reflect that classes are now only available from Friday through Sunday. If you were hoping to spend a quiet Tuesday morning perfecting your piping skills, those days are, for now, a thing of the past.

What the New Schedule Looks Like

The 90-minute classes still take place bright and early at 9:15 a.m., which is actually before the shop opens to the general public. This provides a private, quiet environment where you can work closely with a talented Disney pastry artist. The type of cake you’ll be working on now depends entirely on which day of the weekend you book.

Previously, these options were rotated throughout the week, but the new Friday-only slot for the Amorette’s Choice cake makes that specific design much more exclusive.

The Fine Print: Pricing and Perks

Despite the change in frequency, the structure of the class remains the same. The experience costs $199 for up to two guests. That price covers one cake for the pair to share, all the necessary decorating materials, and a spread of beverages. You can enjoy specialty coffees, teas, and even select alcoholic beverages while you work. If you and your partner don’t want to share, you can add a second cake to your reservation for an additional $50.

Beyond the hands-on instruction, these classes are known for the “insider stories” shared by the Cast Members. You’ll get a peek into what it’s like working in the massive industrial bakeries that power Walt Disney World Resort. At the end of the session, you get a special gift and, of course, your finished masterpiece to take back to your hotel room.

Planning Pro-Tips for Your Visit

Because the availability has been cut by more than half, these spots are going to fill up much faster than before. If this is a must-do for your 2026 trip, here is what you need to know.

While we don’t have an official word on why the hours were cut, the shift makes this experience a true weekend highlight for those lucky enough to snag a spot.
