The Villains Are Stepping Out of the Shadows
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party has long been the gold standard for fall fun at Walt Disney World Resort. For years, we’ve known the rhythm: trick-or-treat trails, the iconic Boo-to-You parade, and specific spots where you could wait in line to meet a rare character. But for the 2026 season, Disney is throwing out the rulebook and introducing a layer of unpredictability that is going to change the entire atmosphere of Magic Kingdom.
The big headline for 2026 is that Disney Villains will be roaming the streets of the park. This isn’t your typical meet-and-greet where you stand in a queue for sixty minutes. Instead, these characters will appear organically as you move through the different lands. One moment you might be heading toward a snack stand, and the next, a classic villain could be lurking right around the corner. This unscripted, atmospheric presence is a first for this event and adds a genuine sense of Halloween mystery to the night.
Mark Your Calendars: 2026 Party Dates
If you’re planning your fall trip to Orlando, you’ll need to know exactly when the spirits will be restless. Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party will run on select nights from August 7 through October 31, 2026. Here is the full breakdown of the confirmed dates:
- August: 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 23, 25, 28, 30
- September: 1, 4, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 24, 25, 27, 29
- October: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29, 31
Most parties fall on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, though you’ll see some Thursdays added to the mix as the season progresses into October. As always, the party officially kicks off at 7:00 PM, but ticket holders can enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM. We highly recommend getting there early to maximize your time before the park officially transitions into party mode.
New Fun in Tomorrowland
While the villains are taking over the streets, Tomorrowland is getting a high-energy update of its own. Stitch is set to host a brand-new, ever-changing dance party at the Rockettower Plaza Stage. He won’t be alone, either: Lilo and Angel are joining the party for a concept that Disney says will be playfully unpredictable. It sounds like a great spot to let the kids burn off some energy between candy hauls.
Planning Your 2026 Trip
Tickets for these events are highly sought after, especially for the dates closest to Halloween. If you’re staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin, or Shades of Green, you get first dibs. Sales for these guests open on May 5. For everyone else, general ticket sales begin on May 12.
Keep in mind that Disney Vacation Club members and Annual Passholders can take advantage of exclusive discounts on select nights. These parties frequently sell out, so if you have your heart set on a specific Friday night or Halloween itself, you’ll want to be ready the moment that sales window opens.
This shift toward a more immersive, villain-centric experience suggests that Disney is listening to fans who want a bit more
