Formula 1 Racing Speeds Into LEGOLAND Florida for the Brand New 2026 LEGO Festival

High-Speed Fun Hits the All-New Thrill Zone

Get ready to start your engines this summer because LEGOLAND Florida Resort is bringing the world of high-stakes racing to Winter Haven. The resort just announced that Formula 1 (F1) will be the headlining partner for the upcoming LEGO Festival. This event is a limited-time celebration of creativity and play, and for 2026, it is introducing a massive new addition called the Thrill Zone.

Running from July 20 through August 16, 2026, the LEGO Festival is designed to put kids in the driver’s seat. The F1 partnership brings the energy of a real race weekend into the park, offering families a chance to experience the technical side of the sport through interactive building and teamwork challenges. If you have a young racing fan in the house, this is going to be the highlight of your summer trip.

The Brick Stop Challenge and Pit Lane Hype

The centerpiece of the Thrill Zone is the Brick Stop Challenge. This is not just a photo op with a car. Instead, families work together as an official pit crew. You will race against the clock to complete a tire change on a larger-than-life LEGO F1 car. It is a test of coordination and speed that mimics the high-pressure environment of a real Grand Prix pit lane.

For those who prefer entertainment with a beat, the Pit Lane Hype Show will perform daily. This live show uses drum and percussion rhythms created entirely with tools and snapping bricks. It is designed as a high-energy dance-along moment that captures the pulse of a race weekend. Plus, the Thrill Zone will also spotlight the F1 ACADEMY, which is a junior racing championship focused on inspiring the next generation of female racing talent.

Become a Race Engineer

If your family loves the building aspect of LEGO, you can head over to the engineering stations. Here, kids and adults can design and build their own custom LEGO F1 vehicles. Once your car is ready, you can test it on the tracks to see if your design has the aerodynamics and speed needed for a podium finish. This hands-on competition allows guests to tweak their designs and re-race until they find the perfect build.

While the F1 experience is the headline act, the LEGO Festival features several other interactive zones spread across the park:

Don’t forget that all festival activities are included with your standard park admission or annual pass. While you are visiting for the festival, make sure to check out the recently opened Galacticoaster, the park’s first-ever indoor coaster, for even more 2026 thrills.
