The Pride Lands are Taking Shape in Paris
The transformation of Disneyland Paris is officially in high gear. With the recent rebranding of Walt Disney Studios Park to Disney Adventure World, fans have been hungry for more details on what the future holds. A brand-new video released by Disney Parks has finally given us a closer look at the level of detail and storytelling going into the highly anticipated World of The Lion King expansion.
The centerpiece of this new land is a massive, hand-sculpted Pride Rock, which will stand as the icon for the park’s first-ever dedicated Lion King land. According to the latest reveals, this isn’t just a background element; it’s the gateway to a massive water-based attraction that promises to be one of the most immersive experiences in any Disney park globally.
A 19-Scene Journey from Cub to King
While we’ve known about the log flume ride for some time, the new footage highlights the incredible scale of the storytelling involved. The ride will feature 19 distinct scenes that retell Simba’s journey. Imagineers are using a mix of state-of-the-art Audio-Animatronics and physical sets to bring the African savanna to life right in the middle of France.
For those looking for thrills, the attraction will include an indoor-to-outdoor transition ending in a sensational 16-meter drop (roughly 52 feet) right off the side of Pride Rock. This drop isn’t just for the splash; it’s designed to give riders a panoramic view of the entire Pride Lands area before plunging back into the water below.
