A Sophisticated Return to GEO-82
It’s been almost a year since GEO-82 opened its doors inside the iconic geodesic sphere of EPCOT, and we are still big fans of this gorgeous lounge. If you haven’t visited yet, the bar is located near the Project Tomorrow exit of Spaceship Earth. Getting to have drinks literally inside the park’s main icon is an experience in and of itself, but the lounge brings a modern, fancy vibe that feels completely separate from the hustle of World Celebration.
When we heard that three brand-new drinks were added to the menu, we knew we had to head back. This 21-and-over spot is known for being sophisticated, and these new additions certainly live up to that reputation. Here is the breakdown of what we tried and whether these high-end sips are worth your reservation.
The Pink Peppercorn Clover Club
First up is the Pink Peppercorn Clover Club, which retails for $25. This drink is a mix of Fords Gin, Dolin Blanc Vermouth de Chambéry, raspberry, pink peppercorn, and lemon. Visually, it is stunning. It’s exactly the kind of drink you want to photograph before you take a sip.
The flavor profile is definitely mature. You’re going to taste the gin right away, but it’s balanced by a lovely fruity undertone from the raspberry and lemon. The pink peppercorn adds a very subtle spice that doesn’t overwhelm the palate. One of the highlights is the texture; the froth on top isn’t too thick, but it creates a smooth, velvety mouthfeel. Our bartender, Kimyata, shared that this is a riff on a classic signature drink from the Clover Club in Philadelphia. It’s been tweaked to be a bit more “drinkable” for a theme park setting, but it still feels very upscale.
The Tuscan Olive Oil Martini
Now, let’s talk about the one that has everyone talking: the Tuscan Olive Oil Martini for $26. This is a bold choice, even for a lounge as experimental as GEO-82. It features VUSA African Vodka, Dolin Dry Vermouth de Chambéry, olive oil, and tomato, and it’s served with a Parmesan crisp.
If you’re a cheese lover, you’ll likely do what we did and eat the Parmesan crisp first. It adds a tangy, salty note that sets the stage for the drink. This cocktail is incredibly savory and spirit-forward. While the idea of oil in a martini might sound greasy, it actually doesn’t separate. It creates a rich, silky texture that carries the herbal notes of the vermouth. It isn’t a “refreshing” drink you’d want while walking around the World Showcase, but it’s a perfect choice for someone who prefers a strong, savory cocktail over something sweet.
More New Sips at GEO-82
There was a third new addition that we didn’t get to try during this specific visit: the Clarified Bee’s Knees for $25. This one is made with Barr Hill Reserve Tom Cat Gin, honey, lemon, and thyme. It’s milk-washed to give it a clarified, clear appearance and a smoother finish. According to the menu, it’s inspired by EPCOT’s long-standing commitment to agriculture and conservation.
Things to Know Before You Go
- Reservations are a must: This lounge is small and very popular. You’ll want to check the My Disney Experience app for availability well in advance.
- Adults-only: Remember that GEO-82 is a 21-and-over venue. You will need to show a valid photo ID to enter.
- The View: If you can, try to snag a seat near the windows. The view over World Celebration Gardens is one of the best in the park, especially at night when the lights on Spaceship Earth are glowing.
Overall, GEO-82 continues to prove that EPCOT is the place to be for high-quality, innovative cocktails. Whether you’re intrigued by the idea of olive oil in your vodka or you just want a quiet place to escape the crowds, this lounge remains a top-tier choice.
