Disney Vacation Club Unveils 2026 Moonlight Magic Dates and Bonus 2025 Events

Magic After Hours: The Perks of Being a DVC Member

One of the most sought-after perks for Disney Vacation Club members is Moonlight Magic. These exclusive, after-hours events allow eligible members to enjoy the parks with lower crowds, rare character sightings, and complimentary treats. Disney just dropped a massive update, releasing the full schedule for 2026 and adding a few surprise dates for the end of 2025.

Bonus 2025 Events at Disney’s Animal Kingdom

If you’re heading to the parks later this year, you’re in luck. Disney has added three additional Moonlight Magic nights at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The great news is that members can register for one of these dates even if they’ve already attended a Moonlight Magic event earlier in 2025.

Early registration for members with a resort reservation opens October 2, 2025, at 11:00 AM ET. General registration for all other eligible members opens October 9, 2025.

Looking Ahead: The 2026 Moonlight Magic Schedule

The 2026 calendar is packed with nine events spread across both coasts. Whether you prefer the classic vibes of EPCOT or the water park fun of Typhoon Lagoon, there’s something on the horizon for you.

Disneyland Resort (California)

Why These Events Matter

Moonlight Magic isn’t just about shorter lines for attractions like Slinky Dog Dash or Expedition Everest. It’s about the atmosphere. You’ll often find rare characters that don’t usually appear during regular park hours. Plus, Disney includes complimentary snacks like ice cream and popcorn, making it a high-value night for families. Keep in mind that for 2026, members can generally register for only one event per “season” (Winter, Spring, and Summer).

Pro-Tips for Registration Success

These events fill up incredibly fast, often within minutes of registration opening. To give yourself the best shot, you’ll want to have a qualifying resort stay booked through Disney Vacation Club or with cash through Member Services. This gets you into the early registration window. Ensure your membership is eligible for “Membership Extras,” as resale-only contracts purchased after certain dates may not qualify.

Always double-check that your resort reservation is finalized before the specific “modification deadline” for each event. If you miss that window, you’ll have to wait for the general registration, where availability is much more limited.
