The Spooky Season Calendar is Here
While the summer sun is still shining, it’s officially time to start planning for ghosts and ghouls. Disney has officially announced the dates for the 2026 Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party at Magic Kingdom, and the season is starting earlier than ever. This year, the festivities will run on select nights from August 7th through October 31st, 2026.
Planning Your Visit: Ticket Sales and Logistics
If you’re planning to attend this hard-ticket event, you’ll want to mark your calendar for May. General ticket sales begin on May 12th, 2026. However, guests staying at Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, or Shades of Green can get a head start on May 5th, 2026. Since opening nights and Halloween night itself are notorious for selling out quickly, we recommend securing your spots as soon as your window opens.
The party officially kicks off at 7:00 PM and runs until midnight, but here is a major pro-tip for your planning: your party ticket allows you to enter Magic Kingdom as early as 4:00 PM without a separate daytime park ticket. This gives you three extra hours to enjoy the park before the spooky transformations begin.
New Character Experiences for 2026
Disney is introducing some fresh fun to the 2026 lineup. Over at the Rockettower Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland, Stitch is hosting a brand-new dance party alongside Lilo and Angel. The twist this year involves Lilo’s Costume Trunk; as Stitch tries on various accessories, the entire theme of the dance party will swap, creating an unpredictable and high-energy environment throughout the night.
For those looking for classic character interactions, Jack Skellington and Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas will return for their highly popular meet and greet. Additionally, Mickey and Minnie will be greeting guests together at Town Square Theater, sporting their brand-new 2026 Halloween costumes. Keep your eyes peeled as you walk through the park, as various Disney Villains are expected to make appearances in the streets when you least expect it.
Iconic Entertainment and Trick-or-Treating
It wouldn’t be Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party without the staples that make it legendary. Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade will once again feature the sparks of the Haunted Mansion Grave Diggers, alongside appearances by Pain and Panic from Hercules and Vanellope von Schweetz. Over at the Cinderella Castle stage, the Sanderson Sisters return for the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular, a high-energy show featuring a variety of Disney’s most famous antagonists.
The evening typically culminates with Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular. This fireworks display is hosted by a massive Jack Skellington puppet and features state-of-the-art projections on the castle that tell a spooky, but not-so-scary, story.
Don’t forget to grab your candy bag! Trick-or-treating is open to guests of all ages at over a dozen locations throughout the park. Disney continues its commitment to inclusivity with Allergy-Friendly Centers. Guests with food allergies can collect teal tokens at treat stations and redeem them for specialized treats, ensuring everyone gets to enjoy the haul.
